Description

Molecular Sieve Beads are used for purifying gases and liquids, removing water vapor from hydrocarbons and alcohol vapor, and as a drying agent for solvents. Beads can be reused – just reheat them in an oven, which dehydrates/reactivates them. Can be used for removing carbon dioxide from streams of air passing over the bead.

Carbon Chemistry's Silica Gel 60A is an insoluble silicon dioxide formed from sodium silicate. The granular, porous solid occurs naturally in minerals and comes in a fine powder. The powder creates a slurry when mixed with solvent that helps filter unwanted materials for improved product quality. Silica Gel 60A is used during the stationary phase of Column Chromatography to improve color and separate unwanted compounds from the product.

Description

Acid-activated bentonite clay (or activated bleaching clay) is used as an effective filtration media. The clay is rich in carbon, and it has a low pH. This product is most commonly used as a scrub or bleaching clay during oil purification, distillation preparation, pesticide removal, and product improvement including odor removal and visual improvement.

Carbon Chemistry's T-41 is an acid activated bentonite clay containing approximately 10% carbon. T-41 has a low pH and removes colors and other impurities more aggressively than other media. When paired with Carbon Chemistry MagSil PR it is effective for pesticide remediation. T-41 bleaching clay is often used as a scrub prior to the distillation process.
