Applications
Food grade Carbon Dioxide is ideal for the food industry's Modified Atmospheric Packaging (MAP) of cheese, meat, poultry, specialty meals, pizza, and sandwiches. It extends shelf life, preserves freshness, and enhances the overall quality of packaged food by lowering pH and inhibiting mold and bacterial growth, thus preventing oxidation.
Carbon Dioxide also serves as a refrigeration gas in chilling and freezing systems as it maintains product quality by preventing spoilage and aging.
